This has just reminded me of something.
In the UK there is an advertising campaign (or was when I was there) for a product that does "what it says on the tin." It literally does what the name suggests.
Now whenever my computer crashed back there and I had to format/install all over again I remember having to do a back up disc or something?
It seems to me that if it did "what it said" in the same way as that tin, that disc would have been the answer to many things. Such as solve Notme's problem and get his computer back to the state it was.
But it just seems that the disc was no better than useless as it was never any use in solving anything.
Okay, you techies...now shoot me down in flames.
